Privacy policy
Pigtail is an adults-only dating and private travel-memory app. The operator is MB Yum. Contact [email protected] about privacy, access, corrections, or deletion.
Account and profile information
We process your phone number to identify your account, your birthdate to enforce the adult age requirement and calculate age, and the profile information and photos you choose to provide. Your phone number and exact birthdate are not displayed to other members. Your public profile can include your name, age, photos, answers, interests, and selected profile details.
Some optional fields, such as sexual orientation, religion, and political views, can reveal sensitive information. Only add information you want eligible members to see. You can remove optional information in Account. Gender and zodiac visibility have separate controls.
Location and Passport
With your permission, Pigtail reads location while the app is in use to determine your current country. The server processes coordinates to resolve a country but does not store the raw coordinates. It retains your last successfully resolved country until updated or your account is deleted.
Adding a Passport stamp is your choice. Passport visits and memory photos are private to your account. On native devices, saved Passport information is encrypted for offline access. Confirmed offline additions temporarily include encrypted coordinates and capture time on your device until the server acknowledges them. Logging out or deleting your account clears the app's private saved data on that device. Images you export or share leave this private storage and are controlled by you and the destination app.
Matches, messages, and safety
We store Signals, browsing decisions, matches, and messages to provide discovery and conversations. Messages are available to the matched participants and are not described as end-to-end encrypted. Authorized operators can review profiles, photos, and reports to investigate abuse. Reports are stored separately from ordinary profile data and are not shown to the reported person.
Notifications and usage information
If you enable notifications, we register a device notification token for your signed-in session. Expo, Apple, and Google process notification delivery. Push alerts use generic match or message copy rather than the text of your conversation. You can manage notification permission in your device settings.
Our own product analytics records onboarding steps and product actions, such as starting a Signal, making a match, sending a message, and opening the app. It does not copy message text, photos, or entered profile answers into analytics. These records are eligible for deletion after 90 days. Account-linked analytics is removed with your account. We do not use an advertising SDK or cross-app tracking.
Sharing and retention
Eligible members see the profile information and activity needed for discovery and conversations. Service providers process data needed to host the service, verify phone ownership, and deliver notifications. We may disclose information when required by law or to address abuse and protect people.
Account information remains while your account exists. Deleting it removes account-owned application records, associated messages, and uploaded account media. Safety reports are kept separately for abuse investigations and may require a separate removal request. Backup copies and legally required records follow the operator's retention policy. Contact support for the retention periods and any applicable exception before requesting deletion.
Your choices and requests
You can edit your profile, change visibility controls, revoke device permissions, block members, and delete your account in the app. You can also request deletion without the app. Contact support to request access, correction, restriction, or removal of your information, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify that the request belongs to you. Do not email passwords, one-time codes, or identity documents unless a secure verification process has been agreed.
